First Gen Week
First-Generation College Celebration

Location: Various locations across campus

First-Generation College Celebration is an annual event held on Nov. 8 to honor and recognize the achievements of first-generation college students and promote awareness of their experiences. Join us as we celebrate Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ first-generation students, staff, and faculty. All are welcome.

Veterans Day Lunch
Veteran's Day Lunch

Date: Tuesday, Nov. 11, Noon - 1:30 p.m.
Location: Sheila Umphrey Recreational Center Multipurpose Room

The Office of Strategic Initiatives and the Veteran's Day Planning Committee are hosting the Veteran's Day Lunch. Theme: Service to our Nation. Purpose: to thank and honor all who have served. Everyone is invited to join us for a free meal.Due to the expected drop in temperature, the Veteran Day Lunch will be held in the Shelia Umphrey Recreational Center Multipurpose Room. All are welcome to attend.

Fall Conference OUR
12th O.U.R. Fall Conference

Date: Friday, Nov. 14, 8:00 a.m. - 7:30 p.m.
Location: Setzer Student Center

All students and faculty from all academic areas are cordially invited to the 12th O.U.R. Fall Conference. Undergraduate and graduate students from Lamar and schools from Arkansas, Texas, Kentucky, and more will present at this event. Exciting plenary talks will be offered by LU alumni.

Plein Air Paint Out

Date: Saturday, Nov. 15, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Locaiton: Cattail Marsh

Bring your brushes for the second Plein Air Paint Out event on Saturday, Nov. 15. Anyone wishing to join should meet at the Cattail Marsh parking lot at 10 a.m., where there will be a gouache demo followed by free paint time. For more information, please contact the Department of Art & Design.

This year, the event will include a drone show, and the festivities will take place on the LU intramural field.
