Accredited by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation / National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education, the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and the Council for Exceptional Children
Certified teachers in Louisiana may add additional certifications to their teaching certificate such as Early Childhood, English as a Second Language, Gifted Education, Mild/Moderate (Grades1-5), Mild/Moderate (Grades 4-8 and Grades 6-12) and Reading Specialist; students completing add-on certifications may be eligible for a post-baccalaureate certificate
The capstone action research project serves as a culminating experience inviting school and community participation
Lekotek, a toy lending library with child and family support, offers pedagogical experiences for students and opportunities for collaboration with schools and community groups
Satisfactorily complete and present a capstone action research project.
Must have a valid teaching certificate (i.e. currently active or have had an active certification in the past).
