Symiah Dorsey (’23) knew from an early age that storytelling had the power to connect, inform, and inspire. As a student, she built an impressive portfolio, capturing untold stories and amplifying student voices. That dedication led her to her dream job—assistant editor at Southern Living, where she now helps shape the cultural conversations she once aspired to be part of.

From viral interviews to editorial leadership, Symiah is just getting started. With a sharp eye for stories that matter and a passion for meaningful journalism, she’s carving a lasting mark on the media world—one story at a time.
