When Brazilian-born Thais Lindemayer Gomes transferred to Â鶹ÊÓƵ from her junior college, she instantly found more than a way to continue her academics at an even higher level; she found others who shared her passion for building a vibrant international community on campus.

After Thais Lindemayer Gomes won the nationals twice for her junior college in Kansas, she transferred to Â鶹ÊÓƵ to continue her sports and academic careers at an even higher level. The Brazilian-born athletics star instantly felt at home, and, through dedication to the campus community and her peers, became one of the most respected members of the student body.

With an unstoppable dedication to enhancing the lives of those around her and a recognition of all that the university has to offer, Thais enrolled in the health promotion graduate program after finishing a bachelor’s degree in human studies, setting her on a path to one day elevate countless other communities.
