The  provides faculty with a rich training experience and the resources to navigate Canvas efficiently.

LMS stands for Learning Management System. At Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ, the official LMS is Canvas by Instructure.  An LMS is a software application that provides the framework that handles all aspects of the learning process – it’s where you house, deliver, and assess your teaching content.

If you have requests related to the LMS, you will find those request forms . Or, you can contact the LMS Administrator through the Office of Technology Help Desk, or email [email protected].  These requests include:

  • Sandbox Requests
  • Course Move Requests
  • Student Incomplete Requests
  • Faculty Access Requests

Training resources related to using the Canvas LMS can be found in Canvas as well. Faculty have access to:

G Suite is a suite of cloud computing, productivity and collaboration tools, software and products developed by Google Cloud.  Google Meet, Docs, Sheets, Chat, and Classroom are some of the most popular apps currently being used by Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµâ€™s faculty and students.

Respondus Monitor® builds upon the power of LockDown Browser, using a student’s webcam and industry-leading video analytics to prevent cheating during non-proctored exams. 

LockDown Browser® is a custom browser that locks down the testing environment within Moodle.

 is a fully loaded accessibility tool available to all students, faculty, and staff in Canvas. Panorama helps to improve the accessibility of courses in Canvas by generating alternate formats for all files and digital media, providing an  for all Canvas content,  and scanning, checking, and providing  on all digital media and files to inform instructors on how content can be improved to meet accessibility standards. It also provides a  that allows all Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ Canvas users to  customize their accessibility settings to meet their specific needs. Center staff can assist you in using Yuja. 

This teaching tool allows you to live stream or records your lectures, hold office hours and advising sessions online, and monitor students live during an exam.  Visit the Google Workspace Learning Center, or contact our Center staff to assist you. 

YouTube is a video storage and streaming platform that you can use for remote instruction.  Learn how to create a YouTube channel where you can upload and edit your videos.
