In the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Â鶹ÊÓƵ, FAO, and UNICEF have jointly worked to strengthen the socioeconomic resilience of smallholder farmers and vulnerable populations in North and South Kivu under Phase I of the BMZ-funded Joint Resilience Programme.
A core pillar of the programme has been the promotion of gender equality, women¡¯s empowerment, and social cohesion within targeted communities.
To support learning and inform future programming, Â鶹ÊÓƵ together with the World Bank¡¯s DIME, conducted a diagnostic study to present a detailed snapshot of gender dynamics, social cohesion, and household resilience in South Kivu, offering valuable insights to guide the next phase of resilience-building efforts in the DRC.
